Banana is consumed virtually by people of regions in the world due to its wide  availability. 

It is very nutritious with numerous health benefits some of which include:

1.  Strong and Healthy  Bones

Bananas are good for strong, and  healthy bones. 

This is because the presence of fructooligosaccharide in them which can be fermented by  pro-biotic, beneficial bacteria in our digestive tract, resulting high calcium absorption by the body.

Some bananas also possess short-chain fatty acids, which humans cannot absorb, but the organism that live in our stomach lining can consume those fatty acids, which increases our ability to absorb minerals like calcium. 

Calcium is the most important element in the production and regrowth of bone matter in the body.

2.  Remedy For Arthritis and Gout

Banana contains various compounds that are anti-inflammatory in nature, thus  they can reduce swelling, inflammation, and irritation from various conditions like arthritis and gout.

Bananas have been used as an antacid food to soothe upset stomachs.

They also contain protease inhibitors, which eliminate the harmful bacteria that have been linked to the development of stomach ulcers.

Bananas have been linked to reducing the danger towards the kidneys from a number of different conditions because it is a good source of potassium.

Bananas  contain significant amount of  vitamin A, a fat-soluble vitamin that is vital for eye health. Adequate daily vitamin A intake also lessens your risk of night blindness.

Studies have shown that eating three or more servings of bananas per day may also lower your risk of age-related macular degeneration, the primary cause of vision loss in aged people.

8.  Helps in Management of Depression

Bananas contain tryptophan, an amino acid that the body converts into serotonin, which is known to help you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

Insomnia due to depression, can be combated by eating  a banana before going to bed; its tryptophan will help you sleep better.

Bananas also contain tyrosine, an amino acid that increases norepinephrine and dopamine levels. Low levels of these neurotransmitters which stimulate brain activity, alertness and concentration are often associated with depression.

9. Treatment of Mosquito bites

Banana peels can be used to treat Mosquito bites which cause a lot of itchiness and are sometimes painful.
Rub the inside of the banana peels on the bite for about five to ten minutes. This will help reduce the itching and swelling. 

This simple remedy often works better than the creams or medications you find at the drugstore.

10. Weight Control

Bananas are useful for weight loss because of its low calories and fat content as one banana only has approximately 90 calories. It contains a lot of fiber as well and is easy to digest.

An overweight person does not have to eat too many calories if their diet contains some bananas, because the dietary fiber in bananas absorbs water and takes up a lot of space in your stomach, thereby keeping you feeling full for longer time period.

The dietary fiber will also not make the person feel hungry by inhibiting the release of the hunger hormone, ghrelin. This will reduce overeating, keep a person healthy, but also help them naturally lose weight.
